As the Accounts Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with day-to-day financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
- Cash Book control and forecasting receipts and payments
- Petty cash reconciliations
- Assist with month-end journals and reconciliations
- Customer accounts reconciliation
- Prepare invoices, process payments (in different currencies), processing timesheets and expenses
- Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Utilize Excel for data analysis, creating spreadsheets, and generating financial reports.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience within an Accounts role
- Hold AAT Level 2 or equivalent
- Experience running month end journals and reconciliations.
- Experience dealing with balance sheet reconciliations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Specific Qualifications
- Hold AAT Level 2 or equivalent
